BAILI Butterfly Razor Travel Set with Case, Rose Gold

Nice little travel set

I love the rose gold, extra blade storage and case. This razor lives in my overnight bag. Less aggressive than my traditional double edge razor, but that's okay. Good weight, short handle might be a problem with some, but it's a plus for portability.

Switch from cartridge to safety razor - very pleased

The overall experience, from browsing the website, selecting, ordering, receiving the shipment, and finally using the razor was really great. Order arrived exactly on time, even with the package making a detour at the local post office, where it was sent to another town. I fault USPS, not Fendrihan. Everything was exactly as described, no bad surprises. The razor is solid (you need to have a blade in place to eliminate any looseness of the butterfly housing system). The travel case provided a nice surprise: I don't recall any mention of the recess for spare blades, a nice touch. The size of the razor is just right for getting at my neck and jawline where the close-trimmed beard starts. Now for the only downside: the one blade that is supplied doesn't compare to the Astra Stainless Steel blades that I selected as a free sample. On the first shave I attributed a couple of nicks and neck burn to my inexperience with the safety razor. While some of that was true and there was some improvement in my technique, after the fifth shave I switched to the Astra blade and experienced a totally different shave from the recollection of the first with the stock blade! Conclusion: Don't bother using the blade that comes with the BAILI set. The razor, the travel case with the integral mirror and recess for spare blades is well worth the price, possibly more! Go ahead and buy some blades (Astra Stainless, or a sample pack). I am probably going to upgrade to the Fendrihan open closed comb razor, but this BAILI will be the razor that travels with me as the world reopens.
