So nearly there
The bag itself is smart, and most importantly, provides a level of protection superior to that of some other gig bags on the market, certainly at the price. My main issue is that there's nowhere in the case itself to put a straight mute. I bought a separate mute bag thinking it would clip onto the main case, but it doesn't, so I have to carry that separately. I'm personally not bothered about the location of the mouthpiece holder, but would appreciate a bigger music compartment. Very little orchestral music is A4 size - however it will take an iPad Pro with a protective case. Quite a few people have complained about instruments not fitting into the space provided. My Alex200 only just fits in. True, exact dimensions are given, but it might be useful to compile a chart, much like on the Houghton Horns website, which shows which instruments fit into this bag. Maybe all these small niggles will be incorporated into the V2 of this bag.

Needs more thought
A very lightweight bag but there’s a few design flaws - firstly the hinge of the case has very little padding, which is particularly concerning as this this is the area that would be placed on the floor first when putting the instrument down. Secondly there is no additional padding or movable pads in the main section of the case to accommodate different sizes of horn. Plus the internals shape is square you’re effectively putting a circular instrument into a square hole with no support to hold it in place.
The back pack design is very comfortable but I couldn’t sacrifice damage to my instrument so I had to return this case. If these design flaws were fixed I would consider purchasing another one.
