OSRAM 64258 HLX 20w 12v G4 Single Ended Halogen Light Bulb

Does the job

I am a basic science researcher and I bought this bulb to use in a spectrophotometer. The machine is so old that the bulb specified by the manufacturer was no longer available. This bulb is a fine replacement, at a MUCH lower price. The spectrophotometer operates as expected with this bulb. My only complaint is that there seems to be a lot of drift in the reading (the machine displays absorbance as a way of measuring cell density or protein concentration) until the bulb warms up, which takes much longer than the original bulb. All in all, very happy with my purchase.
