Checkbook is great

The checkbook was all that I was hoping for. After having it for a few days decided a matching belt (if affordable) would be a nice addition so sad to find out you do not offer. With the leather so nice and thick and the tooling so very beautiful it is a shame not to offer belts. Marc

I wanted to love it but…

I wanted to love this checkbook cover but I am disappointed. Although it is very beautiful and well made it is also very heavy. More important is that it does not close flat. It’s like it’s not made to accommodate a normal check register. Thankfully I do not carry it in my purse so the weight is not the deal breaker. The closure issue is worse. I put a rubber band around it hoping it will soften. Kind of spoils the look I must say! It was expensive. More than I would ever spend but I was so attracted to the color and rose design. Sorry to not be able to give it a better review but beware. If I had not thrown away the packaging and paperwork I would return it.

The leather work is beautiful. The dye is a lovely color. My husband and I have several Oberon products and I always knew when I needed a new checkbook, I'd be getting one of these. I think my husband has had his for nearly 20 years and it looks brand new.
