Megan Racing Coilovers (EZII Series)

So I finally pulled the trigger on these bad boys. And what a difference. Having a 2.4 there isn't much I can do hp wise. But handling I can go all out. So I cherish a more stable comfortable ride. The stock suspension nailed the comfort, but the stable was non-existent. It had so much bodyroll. Along with these coils I also purchased the antirollbar. I received the roll bar first. And decided I wanted to install it first on the stock suspension to see the difference. And just putting that made a huge improvement. So if you can't afford to pull the trigger on these at the moment. I think the arb will calm you. So I received my coils and me and my cousin decided to do it ourselves to cut cost. Spent 80 for a jack and Jack stands. My cousin already had tools. I watched a couple YouTube videos and we were off. We managed to pull it out in about 4.5 hours. We're no professional mechanics but I think that was reasonable amount of time. We spent alot of time on a problem with the fronts. I guess from the factory they were almost as low as they could go and we didn't even bother changing the height to be close to the old ones. Note: compare struts old and new together, and measure for the drop you want. And make sure you do it to both sides. That will save you alot of grief of you're new to this as are we. So after we figured that out it was just a matter of trying to follow the steps we seen in the video. Also I followed a guide I found on the forums. Note: these coils do not come with instructions. So do your research first. Note: If you're trying to adjust to a certain number always start counting from the stiffest to soft. These only have 15 clicks of adjustment. If you go too soft and go past the 15th click you could potentially damage the mechanism inside that adjusts open and closes the valve inside. But going all the way stiff first has no repercussions because it has a stopper that won't let you go past a certain point. So now for the performance. It's beautiful. I could be going 60 and feel like it's going 30. The cars so stable your sense of speed gets misconstrued and you have to constantly look down at the spedo to make sure I'm not speeding. Probably won't happen to everyone but I noticed when I had it 5 clicks from soft I was having way to much fun and had to settle myself down a bit before I got into some trouble. So I dropped it down to 3 clicks all around and now it has that level of comfort and stability I want this car to have. Living in LA we have some pretty bad streets and it's still comfortable. Even with the stiffer springs. Paired with the arb it's an awesome combination. The coils themselves are beautiful. Nice metallic color that's really vibrant. I would definitely buy it again if I wasn't broke from buying this.
