Excellent! Newly available Heavy Gauge strings.

D’Addario EJ phosphour bronze strings come in all the usual gauges but now are available in Heavy 14-59 gauge! All the EJ stings I have used are good quality at a great price, but this review is specifically about the new heavy gauge. These are not suitable for standard tunings as they have tension of 213 pounds (12-53 gauge are around 160). However, for those who wish to tune their guitar down at least two semitones; they may be a good choice. I tuned my old Maton down 3 semitones and the heavy strings gave a good action with no real buzzing. The guitar sounded amazing and allows me to take some songs into a vocal range suitable for my baritone voice.
