Not pleasant, unfinished feeling

I had a bamboo spoon that my first lived, so i got this in hopes it would be similar. It's not. My biggest complaint is that the edges are super rough, like it has not been sanded finely enough. There's no way I'd put this in a baby's mouth. Maybe mine was defective, I don't know. I'm curious how it would hold up to being bitten over time, but I don't think I'll find out (unless I sand it myself). Too bad.
