Love this red!
Love this red cause it is super red but it glues great with my skin tone! Even tho a little girl thought I was the little mermaid but I found it adorable. Plus it makes my blue eyes pop out even more than they already do.

Correcting for problems with new formulations for purple
The new purple formulas do not stay purple like the old formulas did, at least for grey hair. They fade to blue after only 1 or 2 shampoos. I used the Ruby Red mixed with Royal Plum in a 2:3 ratio with some improvement in staying power. Now I can get 4-5 shampoos before I have blue hair.

I used to use Red for Brown Hair on my 4a black/brown #2 hair that's been slightly bleached, to make my greys a dark red and leave a red tint on my length. But the formula changed, became more orange, and it didn't tint my hair anymore because it was too light. I tried using the Cherry Chestnut color to get my greys a dark reddish brown color, but strangely, Cherry Chestnut made my greys blue!
Extreme Red (I think it's called Ruby Red now) is the only Overtone color now that actually gets my hair RED. My grey strands were a fiery bright red but luckily I don't have that many so it blends in well with the rest of my dark hair. My slightly bleached ends were much redder, you could even see it in regular indoor lighting! The rest of my hair had a reddish hue in certain lights and sunlight.
I love the color output of this one, but I do wish Overtone had a red color that was a bit darker. I want a dark red wine color. I miss Red for Brown Hair!
