A Dream Upgrade

Our last carry-on was at least 15 years old and had seen many miles. Switching to our new Monos carry-on was like going from a Model T to a Maserati. The lighter Monos model - even stuffed full - was easy to maneuver and to lift in and out of our car. The case material, zipper, and wheels feel substantial and strong. I am confident we will get many years of use from this carry-on.

Outstanding Build Quality, but Color Runs Lighter Than Pictured

The craftsmanship on the Monos Carry-On is immediately apparent out of the box. The shell feels exceptionally sturdy, the zipper feels strong and easy to open/close, the materials and hardware are premium, and the interior capacity is generous and well-organized for a hard-shell bag. From ordering on the website to delivery, the logistics and packaging were top-tier. My only critique - and the reason for docking one star, is the color accuracy. I ordered Storm Grey expecting a deeper, moody slate based on the studio lighting and shading on the website. In person, the shade is noticeably lighter than anticipated. Because of the lighter finish, I have some concerns about scuffs and airport wear over time (though I appreciate Monos including a melamine cleaning sponge in the package). Had I seen the true shade in person, I likely would have opted for Midnight Black. Overall, it is a fantastic piece of luggage, but if you prefer a true charcoal or worry about exterior markings, you may want to size up to a darker hue.

Great Carry On

Got this new carry on after submitting a warranty claim for my original one. The process couldn’t have been any easier! I love my new bag and the color is great.
