I was very pleasantly surprised!
I had watched a video from SpyCentre talking about how they actually judge and review gear for quality. Well, when I ordered my glasses from SpyCentre I also ordered a pair for half as much on Amazon. When they both arrived I was convinced they were the same thing and thought, "well, you took a chance." To my surprise however, after trying both pairs, I fully understood why the SpyCentre video said that there are a lot of "cheap knock-offs" on the market. The lenses on the other glasses look kind of pink and the frames are a bit bent. Both probably would not give away that they were spy glasses but the Amazon ones would be EXTREMELY annoying for long periods of time (20+ minutes). I bought the glasses to record my daughter's school play because, apparently, Disney has copyrights on elementary school plays so we were not allowed to record. I don't get it. Arrest the people putting it on the internet, not a dad who just wants a scrapbook memory. Either way, rules are rules I'm sorry, but I'd rather pay some fine to Disney than not have the memory. Also, SpyCentre never condoned me doing this and actually stated to not do anything illegal, sot this is all me. Either way, I can happily say that the one-hour play was recorded in completion, with high quality, and I forgot I was even wearing the glasses. It was a huge success and my daughter's have already watched the program several times. It was well worth the purchase.
On a side note, I bought the watch too as a backup in case the glasses did not work correctly. Both recorded the full hour in high quality and the watch is just simply a life game-changer. I don't like smart watches and like to wear normal, classy, ornamental watches. The spy one is sophisticated but also an incredible piece of video electronics. It is absolutely a "spy" level of incognito camera presence, but it just looks and feels great as a watch too! To say I love this thing is an understatement. Imagine wearing normal watches for fashion and then someone says, "hey, want to add an HD camera to that and it won't look silly?" Just a stunningly, positively, unexpected purchase.
