Kestrel 5000 Environmental Weather Meter

My expeditions take me to Central America and the Amazon River Basin Brazil. These areas are extremely hot/humid, especially the Amazon River which runs along the Equator. I find it important to track the weather as I generally hike 10 miles daily and need to be aware how my body reacts to make sure I can get back to base camp. Kestrel weather stations were referred to me by a friend. ExtremeMeters came up on a google search. I studied their products then called for help. Customer service was very helpful. He listened to my needs and gave me two options: the 3500 or the 5000. I decided to go w the Kestrel 5000. I use it all the time out here in the Mojave Desert. The other day it was 98 degrees w 17% humidity. Talk about bone dry. I was most delighted to receive my Kestrel promptly. That says a lot about the company.
