I bought the protea boot in the cognac colour from Van Velze & Smith and I absolutely love them. The leather is genuine yearling leather, which is a beautiful, rich colour. The craftsmanship is exceptional, with meticulous attention to detail on the stitching and a very neat finish throughout. The quality is evident the moment you take them out of the box, and the boots feel both durable and beautifully made. In terms of sizing, I found the fit to be slightly snug. I would normally wear a size 6, but after exchanging them for a size 7, the fit is now perfect and very comfortable As I am based in South Africa and Van Velze & Smith are located in England, I was particularly impressed by their outstanding customer service. The original shipment arrived within just a few days, and when I needed a different size, the exchange process was completely free, efficient, and hassle-free. The communication was excellent throughout, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. Overall, I am extremely pleased with my purchase.
