2018-21 Volkswagen Golf R MK7.5 Tow Hook License Plate Mount Bracket

Overall the plate mount is decent. Install and instructions weren't bad. I did make one modification, I removed the rubber washer that goes between the lock washer and the tow hook bar. Having the rubber washer installed allowed way too much play and did not allow the lock washer to do its job. My only other complaint is that even with that removed, the plastic u-mount isolators still allow some play. After a few drives with it, it seemed to stay level but I did have to really wrench the tightening bolt that holds everything together to get the mount to feel relatively solid. Also I recommend using a socket on the tow hook bar instead of a wrench because it's aluminum and will round easily. Time will tell if it holds up but for now I'm satisfied.
