2016-Up Tesla Model S Tow Hook License Plate Mount Bracket Holder

I have been looking for a tow hook license plate mount for awhile I had used them in the past on other vehicles. I actually used this for my 2016 model X, with the assumption it would be similar. I would recommend having a 17mm socket/ratcheting wrench handy when installing. The kit did fit my model X and the mounting bolt and plate build quality seems solid except for a few small pieces all the parts are metal and seem like they will last. I had to use the top most slots on the license plate bracket to avoid the parking sensors. I was able to install it on a road trip while at a charging station so easy to install. The only issue I have is that I think the rod (even with the spacer provided in the kit) is a little short for a model X I would like it a little bit longer so I can fully tighten the rod, but it is solidly in tow hook threading and not going anywhere (it was made for a model S so I’m not surprised that the length is a little different). The license plate mount still is firmly secure and after a 600 mile road trip seems to be doing well. I would recommend this product.
