I wanted a Prefounte, but they’re out of stock. The Pre[ppy is basically the same pen. I have a Preppy fine, but it quit after the third refill, no flow. I got the medium which is more like a western medium that an eastern medium. While it’s a good pen, I still prefer the pilot varsity.

The Purple Preppy

Thank you for following up on the Platinum Preppy. When we were in Munising, MI during December, I was showing some of my pens to one of the young women who works at the desk in the motel. It was the first time she had ever written with a fountain pen. So, when we go back up there soon, we are going to give her a fountain pen. We have tested a Preppy and it worked so well we got one for her.

Pretty good. First pen for teen grand. No diections on installation of cartridge. Had trouble installing and getting ink to flow to end of nib. But finally.
