Merkur 37C Safety Razor Slant Bar

Slant Bar Razor

After starting my wet shaving journey with a Merkur 34C, which I thought would be the only safety razor I would ever own or need, I was wrong as my safety razor rotation now consists of the Merkur 37C (which I pair with a Feather blade), Henson AL13 ++ & +++ and the Muhle R41 (black handle). This is a great razor, it provides you with a very close shave and if you have a goatee and you want a safety razor that will also allow you to detail, this is the one for you. But also keep in mind that this is not a safety razor for beginners, it is aggressive and you have to be mindful of your technique when shaving with it. What I have realized for me is that I prefer safety razors with a long handle, so this safety razor will soon be retired and replaced with a Merkur 39C but this is still a 5 star safety razor.

Great razor

After 10 years with my trusty 34C, I finally decided to try out something more aggressive. I am only two weeks in with this, and trying different blades as well as refining my technique. There is a little bit of a learning curve with this, but it’s 100% worth it. It’s a very smooth shave and the results I got tonight after two passes are comparable to a three pass shave with the 34C. Big ‘ol’ thank you to Geo. I learned how to shave properly from your videos. I’m committed to buy my shaving supplies through you from this point forward and will make sure I spread the word.

Excellent razor

This is my 1st slant razor and it didn't disappoint. I got a better shave with less passes than my Rockwell 6c. The build quality is excellent and should last a lifetime. I was pleasantly surprised that this razor doesn't feel aggressive, but still performs well.
