We purchased our Prepaid Travel SIM in Australia prior to going to New Zealand. The SIMs arrived promptly with clear instructions. We inserted the SIMs once we arrived in NZ and activated them. We did have a medical emergency and having these SIMs made it easy for us to make contact with the Tour Director we were travelling with as well as the local Tour Operator we were with at the time of the accident as a follow up. Top up was easy but we had run out of credit before we realised as no message was sent giving updates on our balance.
