Great company to buy from

Despite Malta Post delaying delivery, waiting on customs payments. The communication with Speedwear was excellent, and they even chased up the delivery. It was delivered the day after they contacted the shipping company. I bought the jacket to go with my Enfield Interceptor, ready for the winter. The jacket is 2XL and fits me perfectly. The smell when unpacking took me back 30 years to my first wax jacket. The zip is a two-way zip and is very robust; the brass studs look good, and all snap in place with a reassuring click. The inside zip pocket is large enough for a wallet and phone. The external pockets all have storm covers. There is no armour in this version, but the cotton is heavy and should prove to be robust. As I generally bimble about at 30-60 K/PH I don't see this as an issue and it keeps the traditional feel.

Waxed Jacket

The jacket fits me very well, and I'm really pleased with the design and the quality of the materials. It feels sturdy, well-made, and exactly as expected.

Excellent Quality Jacket.

After reading many reviews I ordered one size up from my normal size of Large. However the XL was simply too big, so I returned it for exchange for a Large.For reference I have a 43” chest & am of normal build. I’m happy to report that it now fits me perfectly with a t-shirt & sweatshirt underneath. The jacket is a quality item & I’m extremely pleased with it. The brass press studs are a little bright & “ in your face” but hopefully they should dull down in time. I particularly like the tiny Union Jack under the left breast pocket, so much so that I’m going to stitch it in place just in case the Velcro let’s go. All in all I’m really pleased especially as the price is about a quarter of the cost of a Barbour or Belstaff.
