Fits my old Quark, works great!

Snapped right on to my old 4-7s Quark 2x123 circa 2009. Tailstands well, slightly harder to activate the forward clicky as expected, but that will make accidental activation less likely as well. I should have bought two, as I have a single AA quark that could use one of these. I probably wouldn't bother on a 2xAA quark as they are so long and thin tail standing would be unsteady under the best of circumstances. Sadly I had to remove the lanyard from the tail in order to install, but I guess I could reposition it to the clip.

Beta Test First Impressions

I purchased one of the few tailstand caps released for beta testing. My first impression is as good as I expected it to be - at least on my older gen Quarks. The switch sits below the edge of the tailstand cap and the light will stand without rocking. This was possibly an issue with the pre-production newer Quarks, not so with the 8 older gen models I tried it on. The outside diameter of the cap is slightly larger from the body of the tailcap itself. The tailstand cap makes it slightly more difficult for the switch to be clicked into constant on, a benefit for “tactical” use of the light. I’ll be buying several more when they become available.
