Could be sturdier

It's extremely cute and comfortable and I've been wearing it almost every day. However, it just doesn't feel very sturdy. The hinge feels a little wobbly and the closing mechanism is a bit loose, so even after it's clicked in place, it doesn't feel like it's solidly locked in. The hinge also makes it so sometimes when the ring is pushed closed, the two ends will miss each other entirely and fold into a wonky shape. For 14k gold and at this price I think I would expect this piece to feel sturdier; I am constantly fearing that it's going to break :( The earring itself is gorgeous though and I do really love it, I'm just afraid it won't last given the price.

Lovely, plain, simple for young grandchild aged 12.i thought they were age appropriate to wear all the time. Birthday gift.
