Brown - Low Top Oxfords - Hard Sole

Great Shoe!

I really wanted to love these shoes. They are gorgeous and very well-made. They fit true to size and were fairly easy to get on his feet. However, the rubber soles are very stiff. I originally ordered a 4, knowing he is a 5, hoping that they would fit anyway since they are the last size with soft soles. When I emailed to request a return and explained why, I was assured that the rubber soles were still very flexible for early walkers. Because of this I chose to exchange. I was really disappointed when they came to feel how stiff the soles are. There is no flexibility to them at all. My son isn’t quite walking yet, and I got them for a wedding we went to, so they looked great with his suit and the soles were not an issue. However I won’t be able to get any regular wear out of them. We have another wedding in two months, and I’m sure he’ll be walking and don’t know if he’ll be and to wear these then. I didn’t really want to get shoes for him to wear one or two times only, or I would have just gotten some cheap ones that I liked less. The customer service was prompt and friendly, though.
