Of the 3 styles this one is easier to colour if you choose as carnations can be varying shades of pink. Large surface area will absorb a lot of carrier base and oil and if not in the ideal container (e.g sola container) these can be a bit 'top heavy'. My suggestion if using say a 200ml container would be to put only enough for the flower to absorb and then add extra when necessary. As the flower soaks so much, the aroma will last weeks just with the residue in the petals etc. so having a full glass will make the structure very wet, apart from unnecessary. A nice change from the reeds.
