Genuine Live Water Kefir Grains

They are alive! So fun!

I refrigerated my live water grains when they shipped to my house, then, a couple of days later, pulled them out and got started. I used a 50/50 blend of white sugar and organic raw sugar with Alaska Glacier brand drinking water. I was amazed when they perked up and expanded to 3x their original amount (from 1/4 to 3/4 cup) within two batches!

Did not work (at first)

We followed the directions exactly but they did not do anything. We have a thriving milk kefir and have no problems with them. Also, we did not share utensils or keep them close to each other. I dont know why, but it seems they were dead on arrival. EDITED to add: We changed the sugar, as advised, and after a few days the grains recovered and are doing well!
