I love them so much! Ive been watching them for 3 hours or so today and they have so much personality, very curious and exploratative.
It's true they wag their gasters when excited, not as much when disturbed, it seems at least my colony; does a sort of vibration effect when they are supprised or startled. And when happy it's full on wags. When they discovered their new ant nectar tower in the new setup they were so happy, I could watch watch all evening, thank you for such an awesome colony!!
Currently they like to send a few scouts out to get nectar water and then bring it back, I've been watching them do trophilaxis and have a beautiful new setup for them they are starting to make ground on/into

I recieved my healthy queen and 4 workers about a week ago. On one hand, the test tube had cracked during shipping, but it didn't affect the ants at all, I just had to swap them to a different test tube. 1 worker has died but everyone else seems to be going strong, they're accepting sugars and proteins so just waiting for eggs :) . I had made a few mistakes during the ordering process, but their staff was more than helpful and made everything go as easy as possible.
