The first rehearsal was with a 60 piece 'community' band that dynamically starts at bombastic and goes up from there. I couldn't tell much about tone but, the mouthpiece had a great feel. The next night was with a college symphonic wind orchestra in a large hall with a wonderful sound. The Pines of Rome which has a B to pedal F was MUCH cleaner on the Bayamo and with a nice round tone. Previous mouthpiece was a Bach Megatone 7 which I still like but, the Bayamo is more steps up. I can drop my jaw more comfortably and still have plenty of punch when needed. (bombastic?) I was concerned that the larger throat might be too 'airy' but, for me, that is not the case. Also I love the rim - less aggressive than the Bach. I could go on but, I won't ,just that I won't be returning the mouthpiece to you. NOW - any thoughts for my Alexander Kaiser with the European receiver?Thank You, albie.
