Great shoes, flawed order process
So far, I love these shoes (the Flexus Aksamala sandal). The best feature of these isn't even mentioned in the description! There's a stretch-fabric insert at the inner toebox, which makes these perfect for those of us with bunions. That, and the adjustable straps, have enabled me to wear these and forget I even have a bunion. This is the best shoe I've worn for that problem. There's good support under the ball of the foot, too, which is a little hard to get used to after wearing shoes without any. As to fit, these run true to length, but I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 because they feel a little wide. Right now I can adjust them to fit, but am almost at the maximum narrow adjustment on one foot. I feel as if, because they'll stretch a bit over time, being real leather, they might end up a little sloppy. Time will tell. I definitely recommend these for women with bunions.
The ordering process was difficult. There was a promotion for a free shoe-care kit, which I didn't want. There was no way for me to remove it from my cart so I could use an active coupon code, which I preferred. The system wouldn't let me use both, but there was no way to *not* use the coupon. This was on the weekend, so I ordered the shoes anyway, due to low inventory. I called the next day to see if they could remove the kit and give me the coupon discount instead. This was submitted, and I was told it would take "up to" 7 business days to see the refund notification. It's been 7 business days and no notification or status update. I've been happy with customer service, but it seems as if this is taking a long time--from May 15 to May 26 so far.
I would like to order more shoes from Spring Step, but am waiting for the resolution of this issue.
