The platypus is among nature's craziest animals. First, its appearance is a hodgepodge of other creatures - duck (bill and webbed feet), beaver (tail), and otter (body and fur). Males are venomous via stingers on their heels. And females lay eggs (1 of only 2 mammals to do so). Oh and their babies are the size of lima beans. (Awww!)
