Incredible Experience
This class was exactly how they describe it on the page. It was an incredible experience, one that I will remember fondly with a chuckle at how unprepared I was. I had never executed one of the tasks that was required and boy did I pay for it. BUT, while I was struggling, the instructors were right there next to me. They never gave up me, even at 3 AM. I will forever be greatful for the quality of people at the Pathfinder School. I look forward to learning and attending more classes with them.

If you're thinking of going.... Do it!
I heard multiple people say, "Basic doesn't mean easy." in regards to this class, and they were right. While it requires some physical exertion and endurance, and there is a lot of information transfer, it is extremely rewarding to have been able to attend the class, complete the deliverables, and come home with the patch! The skills and information learned in this course could easily save your life. The weekend that I attended, it rained frequently. We learned how to start fires despite the weather that we were experiencing, and while it was a struggle at times, the experience taught me that it is possible with the right knowledge and tools. The instructors are world-class, and their desire to have students succeed is evident. Take the jump, learn some valuable skills, prepare and go with a 'Don't Quit' attitude, and you won't regret it!

Don’s Intermediate review
My experience of the intermediate course was one of challenge, mentally, and physically. The course build on the basic course but kicked up a few notches. Taking this class has put my mind into a different area of what I can put myself through and make it out. The course instruction is geared toward the next step passed the basic level, they expect you to know your knots, what materials you need to produce fire, shelter building, and Navigation etc… This course will challenge your physical conditioning above and beyond basic, for anybody taking this class make sure you can hike up to 6 miles with your pack fully loaded. The physical fitness aspect of this class needs to be your top priority. The class builds on the skills you have and the ones you are instructed to do at this course. This class is one of the most beneficial challenges I have ever done in my life. The instructors of this course same as the prior basic course expect a lot from you, and if you don’t quit on them they will not quit on you. I can’t stress enough on what to bring to this course “STICK TO THE LIST” provided under the course description. Do not bring any extras thinking you can just carry them with you during class. On the first day your gear dump will eliminate all contraband not allowed in this course so just save yourself the headache and do not bring anything other than the list unless Dave or Shawn tell you to. This will make gear dump, and check faster so your class get started instead of asking hey can I bring this, the answer will be no stick to the list period. For anyone wanting to take it to the next level of survival training this course is not for the faint at heart, and in my view a highly recommend course for improving your survival skills, and bushcraft skills.
