Sunshine Mat Pattern

I saw this pattern come up on social media, and thought it was so cute I had to try it. The yarn I used, a bulky weight recycled sari silk, was a bit thinner than the banana fiber yarn called for, so I had to do some minor alterations to the pattern to get it to lie flat. All in all, pleased with the pattern, and would make it again.

Since retiring, I have found myself doing a lot more crafting than I did. DGY has become my favorite place for beauriful yarns and every pattern I have gotten just adds something unique. I have gotten so many compliments on how beautiful the Sunshine Mat is and have been asked to make several for others. I love this mat and the pattern is written well and works up quickly.

This mat is really cute! It is perfect to put plants on. Or you can just use it as decoration to liven up some space.
