Feather AS-D2 Stainless Safety Razor

Very Fine Product

Every review and description are perfectly true, so need not be reiterated. I simply note that even though it is stainless steel, it is quite light and almost feels like a hard aluminum alloy. The feature of the blade being completely enclosed is terrific and worth the price as I have managed to cut myself fairly often with the blade end sticking out of the equally fine Above The Tie Model the feather is replacing. Compared to, say a Merkur 34C, this razor has a far less aggressive angle and blade exposure, so using Feather blades wouldn't be a risk. I use Astra myself and haven't tried the Feathers included with the razor but will get around to it. While far sharper and thinner than any other double-edge blades I've used, in the past, one or two blades in ten will either be blunt duds or have the honed edge of a broken piece of glass. The razor itself is superb and worth having; it should serve a long time for the discriminating gentleman.

Great very comfortable razor. It is a dream matched up with a feather blade. And a pleasure purchasing from west coast shaving!

Feather AS-D2

A very nice razor. Probably my lightest stainless steel razor and it provides the most comfortable shave with the least irritation. Not an inexpensive razor by any means, but well worth it. My only regret is not pulling the trigger years ago.
