This was my first straight razor and I'm happy with my choice. I have big hands and I was a little concerned how this would feel but it's a nice size. It is well balanced and comfortable in the hand. It's a good looking blade as well, the gold etching is a nice touch. I thought I'd get multiple shaves out of this blade before needing to strop it. First shave was great, second was ok but by the third it was pulling alot. I recommend getting a strop, if you dont already have it, when you purchase the razor, I had to order one and go back to my safety razor until it arrived. Once I stroped the blade it came right back to life and my shaves have been great since.
