Pure Cricket Powder

Minimal flavor, which is nice :)

I'm glad I'm trying this cricket powder. So far I've just used it to add protein to smoothies, and I'm really happy with the fact that I don't really notice much of an added taste when it's thrown in. My main complaint with the few protein powders I've tried is that they taste too strongly like fake vanilla or chocolate, but this is nice and subtle. Yay crickets!

Cricket brownies

Subbed 1/3 of gluten free flour w/ cricket flour in my go-to brownie recipe. Brownies took the same length of time to cook and didn't have a noticeable change in appearance, smell or taste, although they were a tiny bit crumbly, which they're usually not. I'm happy that using cricket flour allowed me to increase the nutritional value of the brownies.

So good in so many ways.

Sipping on Farmer Chad's My Morning Coffee Cricket Smoothie as I type. So good in so many ways. It makes me wonder: why have I not always been drinking bugs?
