I was unsure of the suggested 30 second brewing time, but then I tasted the BIG GREEN flavor of this teas I decided I didn't need it any stronger! And, yes, umami! Yet in no way a harsh or overwhelming tea. Very nice for fans of "the green flavor." Brisk-'a good breakfast tea.:) .

Thought I’d give it a try

Wow! I thought I try this tea after getting a promotional off for Memorial Day. I couldn’t be more pleased. The teas are fantastic. Rich in flavor and nice depth. These Japanese teas really delivered all that was promised.
