Best Matcha Ever!!!

There is no compliment in Elvish, Entish, or the tongues of Men worthy of this tea! This is by far the best tea I've ever had. I've bought matcha from Ippodo before and several other brands, but this beats them all. The smell of this tea is unreal, it's just bursting with flavor, and the texture is smoother than a drink whisked up by a samurai on vacation! I cannot recommend this tea enough! If it comes back in stock, I will absolutely buy a package or two more for myself or as gifts. Thank you Ippodo for an excellent product!

Another good matcha !

I wasn’t sure what to expect because of some people saying it has a light flavor but I personally thought it had more complexity than ikuyo and it wasn’t too light! I recommend !!

This is my third year buying Tsukikage from Ippodo. I’ve always found it to be smooth, creamy, high quality with well balanced, rounded flavors. The quality is still top notch but this year’s batch has a very bold umami, savory with a marine like flavor followed by mild astringency. The taste reminds me of a cultivar from an award winner producer of matcha in Uji, making this a fantastic value for lovers of this taste profile. As an usucha drinker, I may also use less powder and still enjoy it on cool, crisp mornings. I also love their new box design compared to the brown floral packaging from years past. No tin, so be prepared to transfer into an empty tin or dark, airtight vessel to prevent accidental spillage and best storage.
