Excellent book for amenities and navigation suggestions along the Erie and Champlain Canals. This book is not for navigation but has some great tips and highlights of things to do and stay along the way. Highly recommend!

Great planning guide

We are planning to do the Erie Canal all the way to Lake Erie. We used Skipper Bobs when planning our great loop but gave them away. Repurchased for this trip. Great tool

Skipper Bob's helpful canal guide

This is a much needed companion to the NYS Canal Corporation Cruising Guide, which is 20 years old and has not been updated. Current information on docking and amenities is important when there are so few options on the canal in some areas. I recommend it for anyone traveling on the canal system.
