This was delicious! Easy to prepare. We mixed beef crumbles with this and it made a delicious meal. We will be stocking up on this one!

During the past several months, I have purchased a variety of items from VFS.(Long-term food storage for emergency). Recently, I've begun to sample some of the entrees... Here are 4 reviews and comments... (scale of 1 to 10.. 10 being restaurant or tasty home-cooked meal.;.. 1 being virtually inedible.. Of course, in survival situation, ratings are higher..) Mango Habanero Chili Easy to prepare; no mess... add more water, and it's more of a soup... Drain some water, and it's more of a chili... Sweet and spicy kick. Good flavor. Overall, hearty soup.. 8/8.5 out of 10 (mention: let the soup/chili cook for long time --- ingredients need to soak in the water and soften..) Pasta A La King a little messy to prepare (easily stuck to bottom of pan while simmering)... Good aroma and creamy texture... Easy directions.. Be sure to cook long enough for the rice to soften.. Thick hearty soup.. I dipped crackers into the soup... 7.5/8 out of 10 White Beans and Lime Chili Good scent and taste; flavorful w/ a little spicy kick easy to prepare -- takes longer than recommended time for beans to absorb water.. watery/soup consistency eventually thickens in twice the time.. Hearty and warm... 7.5/8 out of 10 Enchilada Beans and Rice Terrific scent out of the sealable bag. Dried quickly and stuck to pan; so added some water.. pan cleared, and beans and rice softened. alone: good mild flavor. (Added salsa and tasty inside tortilla w/salsa - nice make-shift burrito).. Serving size: 1 cup water, 1/2 cup mix perfect for single serving solid staple for meals: 8.5 out of 10 (purchased more from VFS)... All were worthwhile purchases, and will provide tasty sustainable options in emergency... Very satisfied....

Have not tried yet. Am saving for when times get worse, but service was excellent. Order arrived very quickly
