My first experience with emergency food

I tried the fettuccine alfredo, and found it to be pretty good. It's my first go at emergency food, so I don't have much to compare it with. However, preparation was easy and quick. The amount of water specified by the instructions was too much. I had to reduce the water by about 30% to get the right consistency. To liven it up, I added some pre-cooked shrimp. I suppose dehydrated shrimp would also work if you use the full amount of water specified in the directions. It's not restaurant quality, but if you're out camping or if the power is out due to a hurricane or other disaster (common in SE Texas), this will seem really good and help to liven the situation!
