My son Max (defenseman) doesn't like the ultra-light sticks and it was getting harder to find sticks that he liked using..... i wasn't that interested in a $325 experiment so after going through some of my old sticks in the garage i convinced him to give good 'ol birch a try... weight was just how he likes it and the puck feel is just different with the old wood sticks. He likes a bit more open blade, but a few minutes out back with a torch we opened up that CH77 just how we wanted it. I got the three pack and these will last longer than the composite he was previously using and we had alot of fun customizing the curve. As a bonus we took some of the money we saved and got a couple of those Jucy Lucy burgers when we were up in Minnesota for a tournament last week
