Hard to understand how to order

We ordered three different times for climbing ropes at our CrossFit gym. We’ve called customer service to make sure we were ordering enough. They said 18ft ordered would give us 15ft after “shrinking”. We ended up with 12ft. Second order we ordered 20ft with the help of customer service recommendation and ended up with 14ft. Third and last order we had to pay for 30ft to get 21 ft finished after shrinking. Absolutely crazy we pay for so much extra per foot and can’t seem to get a consistent length. The splice is nice and secure for hanging. We’ve had one rope come apart after just one class using it. There is part of the inside rope sticking out. Was hoping they would last longer. 50/50 on if I’d purchase or recommend without hesitation of letting other people know.
