Review of Cologne Russe

I tried the Cologne Russe and found it to be pretty good. Lathering and performance were fine. I'd put the Cologne Russe scent in the "like but don't love" category. To me it seemed like the various notes were trying to overpower each other rather than trying to blend (of course, this is just my opinion; someone else might love the scent). I would buy Barrister and Mann soap again but would try a different scent next time.

Reviewing the Bay Rum experience

I love Barrister & Mann soaps. My favorite brand, by far. I really thought I'd like Bay Rum... but, I just didn't. Really, it's a personal preference. I gifted this soap to a friend who said he really liked it, and so did his wife! So, I can conclude that I just don't like the scent, there's nothing wrong with the soap. As with all B&M soaps, this one accepts a good amount of water and lathers up nicely. I like more complex scents, apparently!

Reel protection

This is my first "tallow" shaving soap and I noticed how the protection and the lather has more body, more protection. I am sold.
