Orkney Linen Summer Bedding Set

Absolutely perfect

I bought these sheets about three months ago and cannot say enough good things. I've had linen sheets before, and although they were airy, they were *extremely* thin--so thin that you could see the mattress pattern through the sheets when you made the bed. These smooth linen sheets feel just as soft and airy, but they're *significantly* more substantial, almost like a cotton sheet with more breathability. The elastic around the fitted sheet is also well-made, sturdy, and will clearly last years. The Orkney Summer Cover, however, is the star of the show: thicker than a standard sheet, so warm, but still lighter than a blanket. I live in Portland, OR, and it's replaced a blanket entirely for me during summer. During late fall, I've been using it as a normal top sheet to go under my Pendleton blanket. It's thick while still feeling soft against the skin. I never want to leave bed. When I initially ordered these sheets, I thought, "Am I being ridiculous, spending this much money on sheets?" But no, these were a GREAT purchase--so great I now have two sets. I also sprung for the Orkney linen bath sheets, so no other linen will ever touch my skin. Perfect!

I have bought linen sheets over the years but these are by far my favorite. They feel sturdy, thick and well woven. Just what I was looking for! Cant wait to buy my next set.
