Swedish Army M59 Wool Field Tunic – Genuine Military Surplus

High quality wool jacket with metal buttons, one jacket had slight rust on them the other didn’t. Great fit, and snazzy collar tabs which add character and indicate what type of unit they came from.

Lovely high quality and VERY warm coat, excellent pockets and a good fit.

Superb quality item at a great price. Would be very hard to obtain this fabric (wadmal? - woven wool, then felted while wet into a 65% shrunken, wind and water resistant fabric) in such a well made and tailored new field shirt/jacket. I have others with more open weaving and they don’t compare. Appears to be unused, even if 78 years old(!). Superbly comfortable for dog walking on the moors and coast and just for living comfortably outside. Feels ‘right’ in a range of sprintime conditions, such that I’m not conscious of it. I have bought another to see me through retirement.
