Rug to carpet bonding

I bought two rolls of this extra sticky double sided tape to adhere a 12x14 indoor/outdoor rug to old indoor/outdoor wall-to-wall carpeting in my unheated sunroom. We applied the tape in a grid pattern at about 2’ intervals, a little wider at one end as the tape supply ran low. The process was easy, and the rugs have been adhering well so far, about 5 months.
