Best purple shampoo by far, leave hair soft, toned and frizz free

Natural red hair fading with age…

Now that my hair has more blonde in it than red, I wanted to something to tone down some of the still-dark strands and help my naturally-fading color blend in more evenly without resorting to bleach or dye. My hair stylist recommended this product (and purple shampoos in general) as a way of subtly softening the red. It is subtle, that’s definite — I’m really not sure that it has done much to change and “debrass” my hair, though I think I detect a slight difference. The shampoo seems a bit astringent and definitely has a strong perfume which I’m not too keen on, but along with the conditioner it seems a fair value. I don’t think I will purchase it again, but I can see where folks with less natural red/more natural or dyed blonde hair might get better results
