NOVE Craftsman D001-01

This is my second Nove purchase in a month. It’s really easy to change the case, material, dial, hands, or bracelet on a watch or throw some bling into the bezel and that’s what most of the larger brands do and call it innovation. Nove on the other hand has actually done things that other large, better financed, more established and popular brands have not and probably won’t do. Nove has actually brought innovation and change to the watch game I actually left my steel and gold submariner on the winder and put on the craftsman for a black tie event and everyone who was there and knew that I am a watch aficionado asked me what I has wearing and were very impressed with the craftsman. It’s actually really telling when a person removes his $30K watch to try on the craftsman and then shows it to his wife who automatically thinks it’s a high end watch and is impressed and even after hearing the price is still impressed. Now that’s design excellence and appeal at its best This piece is absolutely classy. The contrast of the brushed and polished steel complimented by the riveted ebony is stunning and the size gives it just enough presence to peek out from the edge of a shirt cuff making a subtle but elegant statement. This watch dresses up jeans and a sweater and fits in perfectly with a suit. The battery on my watch is going to need to be changed soon because everyone who sees it is caught by the locking winding mechanism in the back and then want to seet the time themselves. This watch is definitely a bigger attention getter than any of my far more expensive watches, and truth be told it really shows how tired and stagnated the more expensive brands are. I can’t say how impressed I am and my wife who rolls her eyes every time I get a new watch actually thought that the craftsman was very very cool, I have hit our agreed upon quota for watches for the year already and I’m trying to sell her on the Atlantean now!!!

Overall very impressive design and offers good quality within this price range. However if only the design can be slightly smaller under 50mm will make the watch much more elegant. Also, quality of the leather strap is not very refine, the triangular section of the watch strap in contact with the lug has already begin to show sign of pilling, will be great if you guy offer rubber strap as an option too, will certainly make the watch more long lasting and increase customers daily wear. Even if you are to charge rubber strap as additional item, it will be good to have them for sell on the website, at the moment, theres no option to even get an additional leather strap, with its unique design once the leather strap break apart, the watch is basically useless without any option of after market compatible strap options.
