Oversized Tee and Dress

Loved this pattern!

I was searching for a boxy tee pattern to go with biker shorts and this one was perfect! It was a quick and simple sew and is definitely going to be a staple in my daughter’s wardrobe!

Oversized T-shirt dress

I’ve tried it with two material a CL (coton-Lycra) from Katy’s fabrics and it was very “boxy” on my girl I’ve tried it with a more blended fabric (coton viscose Lycra) and it was already better ! When I will do it again I’ll try it in a bamboo blend and I’m sure it will be perfect on the flow of the dress. On a visual level I like to do the neck, sleeves and pockets in a contrasting color! When I do this dress all in one material with a pattern I like to put the diagonal so it give more of an edge to the pockets. For me the pattern lost a star because it needs to be done with a specific kind on fabric then it limits quite a bit our range of choice for the dress. But I love it a lot !

Great easy pattern

Love all LLK patterns. This was easy to sew up and easy to follow. Only thing is that the neckline seems SO small with the smaller sizes. I couldn't fit the 12-18 month over my 1 year old's head! I did use bamboo French terry so it probably didn't stretch as much? But there is a great blog post about calculating the neckband. Just wondering if the pattern needs to be revised for the neck in general? Otherwise great pattern! Very cute!
