Disappointed, going back to a mason jar

I wanted to love the Kefirko jar but the only thing I actually like is the lid design for the ease of a loose fit and allowing my grains to have air. For straining, it was hopeless with a thick kefir, so messy and wasteful of my smaller grains. The jar is a great size but grooves at the top and bottom make it really hard to scrape out the kefir easily and without mess or waste, and also mean it needs washing more regularly. I tried it for a few days but am going back to my mason jar. I’ll see if I can repurpose it for sauerkraut in the hope that it won’t be a complete waste of money, as I like the size, quality and wide mouth. Good shopping experience from Nourish Me Organics, just a shame about the product.

My new obsession

I am obsessed with these kefirko products. I now have the cheese making kit as well as 2 second ferment lids and a number of kefir making jars.

Still Waiting...

I have been using grains for many years for my daily kefir. This is the first time I have used your grains and am still waiting for the grains to settle into a daily pattern.
