Matching Pair of Extra Queens

My 1977 Staunton Classic Set did not come with extra matching queens. After a lengthy search, Chess House was the only distributor I found that offered a variety of options. I selected a light (white) queen from one of their options and it was almost a perfect match in height, color, weight, and style. I tried to order the same one in black but it was not available. However, Chess House has offered to notify me when they get one in stock. I will definitively return to Chess House for my future needs. Thank you!!!

American Staunton Replacements

Ordered some replacement pieces for this set. Some pieces were not sized the same but they sent me additional pieces that I was able to match up better for my original set. I polyurethaned these pieces to match my original set and they turned out extremely well. The replacement pieces I received are not what is pictured on your website. The service department said that they sometimes change the style of the newer sets and they are not the same as what you originally bought. I just wished that you could update your website photos for the current sets you do sell in case you need to replace older set pieces or if you are buying a new set. For instance your pictures of the Polish #6 sets show two different style bishops on your website. If you were buying or replacing this set or needed a new bishop you might not get the one you need. Just making you aware of this issue. Otherwise your staff is always helpful and goes the distance in helping your customer's satisfaction. Commendable! I will send a photo as soon as I finish drying the replacement pieces. Thanks again for your excellent service and products.
