Very nice
The pictures on the site don’t show what it really looks like. The ring is made of brass, folded together with Shakudō, and it has flakes of Shigane spread throughout. This actually is genius-it avoids the problem with using noble metals like silver fused with copper alloys where joining noble and base metals in the presence of salt creates a galvanic reaction that over time erodes the copper and destroys the ring. The brass used is thick and heavy, and light, being an alloy of copper and zinc, and it is both antimicrobial and corrosion resistant, and the Shakudō bands and Shigane flakes are colorful. I like the pattern of tiger stripes precisely laid throughout the base metal. It’s a unique look.
