Simple Necklace Chain - Cable or Satellite

My sister-in-law bought me a custom baby footprint necklace with a birthstone in gold when I lost my daughter in 2021. The pendant has held up beautifully since then, even though I wear it daily. I accidentally broke the necklace, unfortunately. So, I ordered a new necklace but didn't notice that I ordered it in silver. I immediately ordered another in gold, and it arrived promptly. The silver necklace also arrived quickly. It is a beautiful set that I wear to honor my daughter, and I cherish that my SIL gave me such a thoughtful gift. I am having a very hard time getting the new chain on my orb necklace! Is there a trick? The new chain is lovely, but I would love to wear it with the 3 circle orb. Which was a gift. Thank you!
